Novel excuse for over speed.

WELLINGTON (Reuters) - A New Zealand man caught driving at more than twice the legal speed limit claimed he needed to step on the gas in order to blow dry his car.

Roger Daniel, 37, made the novel excuse after he was nabbed traveling at more than 75 mph in a 30 mph zone in the northern town of Whangarei, the Dominion Post newspaper reported on Wednesday.

"I have a bad back and just thought I would do that to dry the car instead of having to chamois it dry," he told police.

The explanation failed to impress and Daniel was fined $191 and had his license suspended for six months.

Rediff offers largest storage space

Deepikaglobal Leading online communication provider rediff.com India Limited today announced the launch of Rediffmail 1GB with increased storage capacity of 1 gigabyte to all its free e-mail users in India and abroad.

Interestingly, Rediffmail users will also be able to send in a single e-mail a ten megabyte message.

''Rediffmail 1GB is a reality and available today, ahead of any other e-mail service available in the world, particularly for the Indian e-mail user. Users no longer have to worry about deleting mail to stay within the storage limit. They can instead keep all the mails they want, for as long as they like'', says Rediff.com Chairman and CEO Ajit Balakrishnan.

Earlier, Rediff.com had launched Rediffmail with enhanced security and feature-rich add-ons. Rediffmail users already enjoy a simple-to-use, fast and secured experience. Rediffmail is secured with an exclusive spam shield and enables one to write e-mails in 11 Indian languages.

Rediff.com will also start freeing up over 15 million e-mail addresses that have not been in use for sometime, giving new users a better chance of finding an e-mail id of their choice. For the premium paid users, Rediffmail Plus and Rediffmail Mobile, the storage capacity will be 2GB each. The storage capacity previously available with Rediffmail Mobile users was 10 MB and the mail message size was 5MB.
